Real estate and property market investment in Arunachal Pradesh is yet to experience a boost like in other parts of India. Due to various geographical, political, security reasons investment in real estate by investors from other states of India or is quite low – almost non-existent when compared to other states. As the north-east region continues to develop along with the rest of the country, Arunachal Pradesh may get more attractive to investors. The total area of Arunachal Pradesh is about 83,743 square kilometers. It is situated in the easternmost part of India. Hence, Arunachal Pradesh is often referred to as the ‘land of the rising sun’ in India. It is divided into sixteen (16) districts. Languages spoken include Hindi and English. Opportunities exist for investors not just in real estate but a lot of other fields such as Agro-Processing, forest produce- related industries and tourism. The climatic condition of Arunachal Pradesh is favourable for growing plantation crops like tea, coffee and rubber. Fruits such as apples, oranges, pine-apples are grown in the state. The scenic landscape with rivers, valleys, mountains and peaks, flora and fauna has wonderful tourism potential. Private and public sector should work together to make Arunachal Pradesh an attractive investment opportunity.
