| Real estate and property prices and investment in Patna has been steadily increasing. Patna is the capital and largest city of Bihar with a total land area of about 3,202 square kilometers. The state government has received financial help
from the central government and banks to help improve the infrastructure of Patna to attract investors. A lot of companies have shown interest in real estate and property related projects. This includes construction of flyovers, apartment building, shopping malls etc. Surrounding areas of Patna are also being improved to house the growing population of Patna. According to the Patna Master Plan, there will be 8014.70 hectares of residential real estate and 514.9 hectares of commercial real estate available by 2021. Five industrial growth zones and ten small economic zones have also been proposed across the state in the plan.
